Apparel Design

I designed the Fall 2015 BP Undercover collection for Nordstrom. The collection was focused on loungewear including animal onesies and lingerie separates. Once all of the designs were approved by the Merchandiser, Brand Manager and Design Director, I met with the technical designers and led a fit session. This is where I communicated the aesthetic and fit intent of my designs. Following the fit session, I met with the product development team and handed off accurate technical sketches with fabric, trim and size spec call outs for each design.

In providing art direction for this collection, I collaborated with the artists on the Print Studio team to create original artworks to be applied on the tops, animal onesie hoods and back panels of the lace hipster underwear.

I have started my own line of athleisure tops under the Little Wing & The Bad Birds label. This is a brand I feel very passionate about advocating for! I’m currently working with a production company in LA to create my development samples and will do all production – cutting, sewing and printing in the Los Angeles area.

Little Wing & The Bad Birds is a line of casually fitted tees and tanks for women who want sleek basics with an edge. Some have artwork while others feature embroidered trims and laser cut design work. The theme is rockin’, very black and white which has a slight tribal mix with modern minimalist geometric influences. Little Wing & The Bad Birds are the go-to pieces in your closet that you can wear with a variety of bottoms – from casual to top shelf chic.
